Antwerp Metro tunnel renovation – How will this affect my journey to the AFAS Dome and Lotto Arena?
From 4 May 2026 until the end of March 2027, major renovation works will take place on the Antwerp metro network. The tunnel under the river Scheldt will be temporarily closed, meaning no trams will run between Linkeroever and Rechterover. During the tunnel renovation, there will be no trams running from P+R Melsele to Opera metro station.
If you are travelling from Linkeroever, this may affect your journey to AFAS Dome and Lotto Arena.
