Ticket Transfer: how do I transfer a ticket, and can I cancel it?

Ticket Transfer lets you transfer a ticket to someone else for free through your Ticketmaster account. As long as the recipient hasn't accepted it, you can still cancel the transfer.

What is Ticket Transfer?

Ticket Transfer is a feature in your Ticketmaster account that lets you safely and easily transfer your tickets to someone else. It lets you send a ticket to another person for free, giving them access to the event — with no transaction involved.

Is the Ticket Transfer button not available for your order? Then the event or your tickets aren't eligible for Ticket Transfer.

How do I transfer a ticket?

  1. Go to your Ticketmaster account or open the Ticketmaster app.
  2. Find the event and the tickets you want to transfer.
  3. Select the "Ticket Transfer" option.
  4. Enter the one-time access code sent to your phone.
  5. Select the tickets you want to transfer.
  6. Enter the details of the person you want to transfer the tickets to, such as their name and email address.
  7. Review the details and confirm the transfer.
  8. The recipient receives an email with instructions on how to claim the transferred tickets.

Can I cancel a Ticket Transfer?

Yes, as long as the recipient hasn't accepted the transfer yet:

  1. Go to your Ticketmaster account.
  2. Find the order whose Ticket Transfer you want to cancel.
  3. Click "Cancel transfer" in the top left corner.

Note: once the recipient has accepted the tickets, you can no longer cancel the transfer or recall the tickets. However, the person you transferred the tickets to can simply transfer them back to you.
