May I resell my ticket?
Yes, but not for more than you paid yourself, and only for paid regular tickets. If you sell through the Ticketmaster platform, this is done safely and legally through the resale feature.
What does the law say about ticket resale?
Anyone wishing to resell tickets must comply with the Belgian law on the sale of event admission tickets of July 30, 2013:
- Regular resale, or even occasional resale, at a price higher than the original ticket price is prohibited.
- This applies to paid regular tickets. So no free tickets, be•at Premium Experience tickets, or special Fan Experience Packages such as Hot Tickets or Early Entry Packages.
How do I resell my ticket safely and legally?
This depends on how you bought your ticket:
- Tickets purchased through the Ticketmaster platform: for some events, the resale feature is activated. This lets you offer your ticket(s) back through Ticketmaster, which ensures a safe and reliable resale process. Read more: Reselling tickets through Ticketmaster: how and until when?
- Is the resale feature not available? Only sell your ticket to trusted contacts (family, friends, etc.). Avoid selling through social media, secondhand marketplaces, and professional resale sites. Otherwise, you risk your ticket ending up with people with bad intentions. If problems arise (tickets resold multiple times, counterfeit tickets, etc.), your name is on the ticket, and you could face legal action.
